The bike: 117 cubic inches under a 240-section rear tire
Harley has been building the Fat Boy since 1990 and the recipe has never really changed — shotgun exhausts, a wide front end, solid-look wheels and the fattest rear tire the Softail chassis will take. What has changed is what sits between the frame rails. The current generation runs the Milwaukee-Eight 117 Custom: 1,923 cc, a quoted 103 hp at 4,800 rpm and, far more to the point on a cruiser, 126 lb-ft at 3,000 rpm. Six-speed gearbox, belt final drive, Michelin Scorcher 11 rubber on machined Lakester cast wheels — 160/60R18 up front, 240/40R18 at the back. It weighs 694 lb in running order and sits at a 25.9-inch laden seat height, which is a large part of why the Fat Boy is still the Softail that riders stepping up to a big cruiser actually feel planted on.
The giveaway bike is specified in the rules down to the paint: Olive Steel Metallic, which in the 2026 range is a premium two-tone over Vivid Black rather than the base solid. It is the colour that carries a price step at the dealer counter, and it is the colour the sponsor priced its ARV against.
Why it matters
Two things stand out. First, this is a genuinely current motorcycle — not a leftover, not a rebuilt-title project, not a shop build with a stock bottom end and a big number attached to it. It is a factory 2026 Softail in the premium paint, delivered through a Harley-Davidson dealer.
Second, and rarer in this corner of the internet: both routes into the drawing are free. There is no entry storefront, no $25 bundle, no "1,000 entries for $100." You either walk into a participating Harley-Davidson dealership and scan a QR code, or you send an email — and the rules open with "NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING." That is also why the odds language deeper in the rules is worth reading rather than skimming, because what you are playing for is not quite what the banner implies.
The fine print worth knowing
Being drawn does not win you the motorcycle — it wins you a 1-in-10 key draw, in person, in Texas. On or around October 16, 2026 the sponsor draws ten "Qualifiers." The bike is then awarded live: "each Qualifier will randomly draw a number between 1 and 10 from a bucket… Each Qualifier will then attempt to start the Grand Prize Motorcycle with the chosen Key, in the same order in which they selected their Keys," and "the first Qualifier whose Key successfully starts the engine of the Grand Prize Motorcycle will be declared the Grand Prize Motorcycle Winner." The rules state the number plainly: "The odds of a Qualifier winning the Grand Prize Motorcycle are 1 in 10." So one entry has to clear two gates — the dealer-level drawing first, then a one-in-ten key pull.
You have to show up. The live event runs "on or about November 7, 2026, at or around 8:00 p.m. ET" during the Lone Star Rally in Galveston, Texas, and the rules are in capitals about it: "IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LIVE GRAND PRIZE EVENT, QUALIFIERS MUST ATTEND THE APPLICABLE BIKE WEEK IN-PERSON," alongside "Grand Prize Qualifiers must be present to win." That is softened rather than removed by the Qualifier Prize: all ten get three hotel nights in the Galveston area for November 5, 6 and 7 (ARV $1,200) plus a $1,500 prepaid card handed out at the event to offset travel. Getting yourself to the Gulf Coast on a fixed date is still your problem.
The $23,699 is the sticker, not the out-the-door. "IF YOU ARE AWARDED THE GRAND PRIZE MOTORCYCLE, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY THE TAX, TITLE, TAG, REGISTRATION AND DEALER FEES ("UP FRONTS") TO THE APPROPRIATE DEALER PRIOR TO AND AS A CONDITION OF TAKING OWNERSHIP OF THE GRAND PRIZE MOTORCYCLE." Dealer MSRP on this model is quoted before tax, title, licensing and freight, so that is a four-figure cheque before the key is yours — and separately, a $23,699 prize is taxable income. There is no way out through cash either: the rules state there is "no cash equivalent or other substitution for any Grand Prize Motorcycle."
Eligibility and entry caps. Open to legal residents of the United States excluding Hawaii, plus the District of Columbia, aged 21 and over. Entries are capped at twenty per person and per email address across the whole promotion, with no more than seven on your first registration day and no more than five keyword entries per week.
The free route. Registering at a participating dealer by QR code and emailing contestentry@mightyloud.com are both no-cost paths; the exact email wording and the fields you have to include are set out in the official rules.
Conditions on the winner. Qualifiers are notified by email, call or text and must return a signed Declaration of Compliance, Liability Waiver and, where legal, a Publicity Release "within forty-eight (48) hours" of notice. Disputes are resolved individually — no class actions — "exclusively by a state or federal court sitting in Cobb County, Georgia," under Georgia law, with an express waiver of trial by jury. Winning a prize with an ARV over $600 makes you ineligible for the next 13 months. A winners list is available by self-addressed stamped envelope after November 15, 2026.

Why It's Special
The Fat Boy nameplate has been in the catalogue since 1990 and has outlived most of the Softail line-up. The current generation stepped up from the Milwaukee-Eight 114 to the 117 Custom, making a 2026 car the largest-displacement Fat Boy Harley has ever sold from the factory — 1,923 cc, 126 lb-ft at 3,000 rpm. Olive Steel Metallic over Vivid Black is a premium two-tone in the 2026 palette rather than a base solid, and it carries a $1,100 step over Vivid Black at dealer level ($23,699 vs $22,599).
Our value estimate
$23,699
The Official Rules put the Grand Prize Motorcycle at an ARV of $23,699 for a 2026 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy in Olive Steel Metallic, and that figure checks out to the dollar. Three independent Harley-Davidson dealer listings for the identical 2026 Fat Boy in Olive Steel Metallic / Vivid Black — American Eagle H-D (Corinth, TX), Bumpus H-D (Murfreesboro, TN) and Roundhouse H-D (Duncansville, PA) — all show MSRP $23,699, which is the premium two-tone's price rather than the $22,599 Vivid Black base. Because this is a brand-new, never-titled 2026 unit, current new-bike MSRP is the right comparison set rather than used-sale data; no odometer figure is printed anywhere in the rules, which is consistent with a factory bike delivered through a dealer. What the $23,699 does not include is the part that lands on the winner: dealer MSRP is quoted before tax, title, licensing, registration and destination/freight, and the rules require the winner to pay exactly those charges — the "UP FRONTS" — to the dealer before taking ownership, so budget a four-figure bill on top, plus income tax on a $23,699 prize. There is no cash alternative. The $1,500 prepaid travel card and three hotel nights that every Qualifier receives are counted separately under extras and are not folded into this number.
Editorial estimate based on recent comparable sales — not an appraisal.
