What you're looking at
Dixxon Flannel Co., the Tempe, Arizona flannel maker that also runs a showroom on Main Street in Sturgis, is putting up a single custom-built Polaris RZR Pro R as the prize in its Wash 13 Sweepstakes. The Pro R is Polaris's flagship sport side-by-side, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder rated at 225 hp in stock form, and this one has been taken a long way past stock. Going by the parts list in the official rules:
- Power: a Packard Performance Pro R supercharger kit, a Pro EFI stand-alone ECU with flex-fuel sensors, a clutch kit, an EVP Performance header and XR muffler, and dyno tuning. The rules don't give a horsepower figure for the finished machine.
- Suspension: a Shock Therapy Gold package (springs and valving, toe rod link kit, bump-steer tie rods, shock forks and spring retainers), HCR front A-arms, rear trailing arms and rear radius rods, Sandcraft lower ball joints and front limit straps, and CT Race Worx rear differential mounts.
- Two sets of wheels and tires: a desert setup on 35-inch Valor Alpha tires and a dune setup on 34-inch Sandcraft 16-Slayer paddles, each on custom wheels.
- Cage and lighting: an SDR Fastback cage, roof and windshield, an SDR front bumper, 2-inch Crow harnesses with custom teal hardware, a pair of Baja Designs LP4s, a 30-inch Baja Designs roof bar, Baja Designs/Assault Industries LED pod mirrors, 12 rock lights and 4-foot teal whips.
- Cockpit: Triple X seats (two buckets and a rear bench), custom Rockford Fosgate speakers, a Rugged Radios 696/M1 Plus Bluetooth kit with four behind-the-head headsets, an XTC Power Products switch kit, a powder-coated Viper Machine shifter and an SDR trunk.
- Finish: a full wrap by Cactus Wraps, paintwork by Arizona Collision, and powder coating on the trim, cage, roof, suspension, springs and SDR exhaust cover.
The rules hedge that list themselves: it “is estimated to be as accurate as possible, there may be some items missing or some items not included.” They don't give the machine's model year, trim or hours, and they don't say whether the donor is the two-seat Pro R or the four-seat Pro R 4 — the rear bench and four headsets are the only hints.
Why it matters
Plenty of giveaway side-by-sides are a showroom unit with a light bar and a wrap. This is a genuine sand car: forced induction on a standalone tune, suspension reworked front to back, and — the detail an owner will appreciate most — separate wheel-and-tire packages for hardpack and dunes, so switching terrain doesn't mean mounting paddles on the desert wheels.
Be realistic about what a supercharged Pro R asks of an owner. Boost adds load to the belt, clutch, axles and driveline, a flex-fuel standalone ECU wants a tuner who knows the Pro EFI system, and the build's hours aren't stated. The rules are plain that none of it comes with coverage: “Customizations are aftermarket parts and are not warrantied in any way.” and “The prize is awarded as-is, with no warranty expressed or implied.” They also state “This sweepstakes is not affiliated with Polaris in any way.”, so whether any factory coverage survives modifications this deep is a question for a Polaris dealer, not the sponsor. Street registration of a side-by-side varies by state, and the rules put emissions on the winner: “It is the winner’s responsibility to ensure the vehicle passes smog in their state if required.”
The fine print worth knowing
Entering. Paid entry is buying the Wash 13 Flannel: “Each flannel purchase is (1) entry.” The giveaway page lists the men's Wash 13 Flannel at $59.99, alongside women's ($59.99) and youth ($29.99) versions also marked as one entry; by September 30 the women's and youth versions were showing sold out. The free route is a postcard: “send a postcard with your full name, mailing address, and favorite Dixxon flannel to Dixxon Flannel Co. PO Box 11660 Tempe AZ 85284”. The cutoff is a receipt deadline, not a postmark one: “To be eligible all entries must be received before 10/24/2026 at 5:00 PM PST.” The rules print no per-person cap on either route; the sponsor has the final word on entry counts and can disqualify anyone it finds “tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Sweepstakes.”
Returns. Buying the flannel changes its return terms: “Wash 13 Flannels purchased during the Sweepstakes Period are not eligible for a refund to the original form of payment.” Returns are “limited to store credit or an exchange”, where Dixxon's standard policy lets items be “exchanged and/or refunded within 60 days from the date of purchase.”
Deadline. The giveaway page says “ENTRIES CLOSE OCTOBER 24, 2026 AT 5:00 PM MST”, while the official rules say the sweepstakes will “end on 10/24/2026 at 5:00 PM PST”. Dixxon is in Arizona, which stays on MST all year; on October 24 the Pacific coast is on daylight time, so 5:00 PM there is the same moment as 5:00 PM MST, and the page's countdown runs out at that moment. Read literally as Pacific Standard Time, the rules' close would fall an hour later.
The drawing and the winner. “Winners will be selected in a random drawing on 10/30/2026 at 12:00 PM MST.” The winner is announced in the @dixxonflannelco Instagram stories, and the claim window is short: “To claim prize, the winner must reply to the DM sent through Instagram from the official Dixxon Flannel Co account @dixxonflannelco within 48 hours, or respond to the email sent to the winner directly.” The rules don't say whether the 48 hours also applies to the email. Entry is open to U.S. residents 18 or older, and rule 1 adds a condition the giveaway page doesn't repeat: “MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER WITH VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE.”
Taking delivery. “The winner is responsible for picking up the Polaris Pro R from Dixxon Flannel Co. HQ” in Tempe, and “Dixxon is not responsible for any costs associated with transport, or liability during transport.” For a winner outside Arizona, getting it home is on them.
Taxes. Before delivery, the winner must return an IRS Form W-9, which “will be used to issue a Form 1099-MISC to report the fair market value of the prize to the Internal Revenue Service”; a W-9 not returned within 30 calendar days of the request means “the prize will be deemed forfeited”. The rules state no dollar value for the prize, so the figure on that 1099 isn't known in advance; at our ~$75,000 estimate, federal income tax alone would be a five-figure bill for most winners.
No cash option. The rules offer none — “No substitutions allowed by winner.” — while “Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value”. A winners list is available by mail after 11/15/2026.

Why It's Special
A one-of-one shop build rather than a special edition: the RZR Pro R is a current-production Polaris, so what makes this machine unrepeatable is its parts list — forced induction on a standalone flex-fuel tune, suspension reworked front to back, two complete wheel-and-tire packages, and custom wrap, paint and powder coat.
Our value estimate
$75,000
Neither the official rules nor the giveaway page put a dollar value on this prize, and neither gives the machine's model year, trim or hours — all of which would move the number — so ~$75,000 is our estimate of what a comparably built Pro R would cost, not an appraisal. Polaris lists the 2026 RZR Pro R from $43,999 before destination; an older donor would start lower. Packard Performance's turnkey Pro R supercharger kits retail from about $7,250 to about $10,050 depending on output and ECU option, before the flex-fuel hardware, clutch kit, exhaust and dyno time this build also lists, and the rest of the parts list — Shock Therapy and HCR suspension work, two complete wheel-and-tire packages, the SDR cage, Baja Designs lighting, audio, intercom, seats, wrap, paint and powder coat — adds tens of thousands of dollars more at retail. We found no three recent, documented sales of a comparably modified Pro R to anchor on; the nearest market evidence is dealer asking prices for accessorized 2026 Pro Rs, from about $55,000 to about $79,000, and this machine's list goes deeper than those. Heavily personalized builds also tend to resell well below what they cost to build, so we put it in a $65,000–$85,000 band and use the middle. The rules describe the parts list itself as approximate: “there may be some items missing or some items not included.”
Editorial estimate based on recent comparable sales — not an appraisal.
